Finally i have some use for the New York Times, although i had to go back to Sept 1999 for this very prophetic article critical of the Clinton administrations attempt to loosen credit requirements at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Perhaps we should get a mirror for all the finger pointing liberal d-bags who are trying to put blame solely at the feet of the Bush administration. This is an economic problem started in the Clinton era. Then Bush decides two can play that game and Republican d-bags decide to do their part by furthering the economic disaster on the stock market.
And surprise…surprise…they’re now wanting a bi-partisan solution…sounds about right you a-holes since you both have once again given this country a black eye in front of the world.
Thanks for nuthin!

Senator John McCain’s campaign manager was paid more than $30,000 a month for five years as president of an advocacy group set up by the mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to defend them against stricter regulations, current and former officials say.
The tentacles from fannie mae and freddie mac run deep into both political parties, which is why they’re are trying to make sure the still profit from this economic crisis fix the mess they created. And before the Mainstream media actually does some investigating into who really got this whole economic crisis ball rolling. But it might just be to late and leave it to Fox news to start the finger pointing, and as we all know it will always feature the same cast of political D-Bags from both parties. As they ultimately look out for themselves and their wallets.
So for all you Obama supporters I agree we need change, and after this economic crisis shakes out we will have change, sadly only in our pockets not in Washington.

A must read over at the Washington Informer is an article by Dr. Ron Walters the distinguished leadership scholar and professor of government and politics at the university of Maryland College Park.
Below is an excerpt:

I recently exchanged some emails with my district at-large council woman Beth Gottstein. I had read some blog posts by TKC and the Plog about Gottstein pushing a petition to ban plastic water bottles at city hall. And both blogs pointed out what appears to show some hypocrisy by Gottstein.
So on last Thursday 9/11/08 as I was shooting a story on the city hall volunteer ordinance I happened to notice that while Ed Ford was apologizing to Gottstein, about one of the many dumb things he has said, what do i see but a plastic water bottle at Gottstein’s seat.
Now this doesn’t necessarily make her a hypocrite because she never actually drank out of it, but it gives the perception of being a hypocrite as Gottstein is trying to ban plastic water bottles at City Hall and the Plog article says she drinks from a metal container, which i never saw. Thus fueling more speculation from people in the gallery and me. :-)
So after emailing and pointing this out to Gottstein she emailed me back with this.
Sweet, case closed.
Now for the second part of my email were these allegations found over at TKC from a “city hall watcher.”
Again my keen eye for detail catches this happening as well. :-)
This is what Gottstein’s email to me said about what she is actually doing.
Hmmmm…. I’m not sure I’m buying that line, but again Gottstein did email me back and answered my question. And i’m not sure what the hell she is talking about in the beginning of that email, I didn’t ask her anything about her hearing.
So what did we learn today?
First we learned that if you have a question or a comment for Council Woman Gottstein and you email her, she will email you back. Whether you believe what she says that’s up to you, but remember she is a “politician”. Oh and if you email her about some poor lighting at your local city park you might just get some new lights. :-)
Second and most important, if you are going to really stand for something like banning plastic water bottles at city hall, try not to have a friggin’ plastic water bottle at your seat next time, or if you give a talk about the “horrors” of plastic water bottles…..DON’T DO IT DRINKING FROM A PLASTIC WATER BOTTLE. :-)
Now can we move onto the next distraction already!?

An interview with Executive Director of A Call to Oneness Rev. Ronald Lindsey. Senior Pastor of Concord Fortress of Hope Church in Kansas City, MO. and the Event Coordinator of A Call to Oneness, Kansas City.
Prior to getting to the Call to Oneness event I was at a suicide/death investigation just about a block away. Irony aside, in the span of 30 minutes I saw what is sad and great about this community we like to call the “hood”. While one family is coming to grips with losing a loved one, the community family was continuing the fight for a better tomorrow. There are some critics who say the problem goes beyond marches and empty rhetoric. But these critics offer up no solutions of their own.
I believe that wounded justice, lying prostrate on the blood flowing streets of our nation, can be lifted from this dust of shame to reign supreme among the children of men. I believe that what self-centred men have torn down, other–centered men can build up.
