So I’m off to Denver on Sunday to cover the Democratic Convention. As I suspected when i was told i was going, the station is really looking to add plenty of content from us, not only for the newscasts but also for the web. The interesting thing we will find out is whether we can produce enough content for the web and for 4 local newscasts all with only 2 people and limited overtime. I’m up for the challenge as this is the way people are starting to get their news. And as an internet netizen and internet multi media junky the bottom line remains the same, whether people decide to get their news from the internet or local TV or both, it’s not quantity of content, but the quality of that content.
We’ll see how it goes, i will, as usual, be blogging my Democratic Convention experience. I haven’t settled on whether i will only be doing regular posting with photos. If i have enough time i will try and stream some live video and do some video podcasts hopefully with some local kc bloggers, some local area delegates or some end of day convention recaps. I’m not sure yet but check back here often and if you have any ideas for me or something particular you would like us to shoot and talk about drop me a message at Laz@heycamerman.net or you can also get a message to me through this website by clicking the story idea or anonymous tips buttons at the top of the page.
I hope this will be great roadtrip, i can’t wait for the madness and to see all the Obama sheep that make up the Democratic Party. :-) and if anyone has a tye dye shirt i can borrow that would be great. :-)
Adios

Well your lack of objectivity is sharply focused. Hope you still fair-balance your camera before shooting nice pictures, not nosehairs!
